Latest news: University of Nottingham School of English half marathon fundraiser
Welcome
Upendo Junior School provides disadvantaged children with a quality education and a loving and safe home. Our pupils come from the local community and the Mt. Elgon region which experienced terrible post-election violence in 2007/2008.
Our new classrooms are going up!
The building of the tuition block is progressing well - the bricks are now all in place and we are fundraising for the slabs which will go on top. Take a look through the gallery to see the progress we have made! Please consider donating to help us through to the finished classrooms.
We Still Need Your Help
Our tuition block is becoming closer every day to hosting its first lessons, but we still need to finish the tops of the walls with slabs and build the roof. Join our buy a brick campaign to donate to the project, and have your name inscribed on an Upendo brick! Thank you to all who donated to the bore hole initiative. The first water has already been drawn and funds are in place for finishing the project.
Please visit our support Upendo page to find out more about donations and how you can help.
